Frequently asked questions
- What are the chances of recovery?
- Logical recovery: very high (85–95%). Physical HDD recovery depends on the nature and extent of the damage. We will assess honestly and tell you the realistic chances before you commit to anything.
- Do I need to bring the whole laptop?
- For laptops, yes — we remove the drive safely in-house. For desktops, the drive alone is sufficient. Call ahead if you are unsure.
- What if my data is sensitive?
- All recovery work is done entirely in-house. We never send drives to third parties without your explicit consent. NDAs are available on request for business customers.
- Is RAID recovery more expensive?
- Yes — RAID arrays require specialist software tools and significantly more technician time. We quote based on array size, RAID level and the failure mode. Emergency RAID recovery is also available.
- How will I receive my recovered files?
- We return your files on a new USB drive included in the price. Cloud upload is also available on request for large data sets.
