Frequently asked questions
- Will I lose my programs and data?
- No — we do a full clone. Everything is exactly as it was before, just running on a much faster drive.
- What if my laptop has soldered storage (MacBook M1–M3)?
- Unfortunately those models cannot be upgraded — the storage is permanently attached to the logic board. We will advise at point of booking so you are not charged for an assessment.
- How much faster will it be?
- Typically 3–5x faster boot times and dramatically faster application launch. Most customers notice the difference immediately on first power-on.
- Do I need to buy the SSD separately?
- No — we can source one for you at trade price, often cheaper than buying retail. Alternatively, you are welcome to supply your own compatible drive.
